What we do

We teach, they learn. They teach, we learn.

Every child learns in a different way and at a different pace, so we teach each child as an individual. Through one-to-one teaching, small groups and child-led exploration, our children leave us confident, curious and working well ahead of what is expected for their age.

The curriculum

Thoughtful teaching and the freedom to explore

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage, covering communication and language, personal, social and emotional development, physical development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design, and we take it further.

Finding words and making sense of numbers. Books, stories, phonics and daily conversation build rich language and a genuine love of reading. Working one-to-one and in small groups, teachers guide early reading, writing and mathematics step by step. Children practise throughout the day: weighing ingredients while cooking, explaining an idea at Circle Time, or working out how to build a tower that stays standing.

Making, questioning and discovering. Each day balances adult-led teaching with activities chosen by the children, from imaginative role play, the book corner and listening stations to sand and water, construction, puzzles and programmable toys. Throughout the year, special focus weeks such as Book Week, Science Week and Healthy Week bring visiting authors, musicians, puppeteers and scientists into the classrooms.
